Hofmann's tire uniformity machines, type RGM, are used for quality control in the tire and automotive industry and are designed for the automated inspection and testing of finished tires.

 

Different ways of use

In the tire industry our machines are used for the qualitative final inspection and thus the quality assurance of tires. The automotive industry conducts quality or incoming goods inspection with these machines.

 

Quick quality statements

A comprehensive quality statement is enabled by measuring the force fluctuations in radial and lateral direction on the rolling tire under load. Simultaneously, geometric variables such as radial and axial runout deviations can be checked with the appropriate equipment on the machine. As a result, quality grades are formed from all individual data which, statistically processed, allow the integral and fast overall assessment of a vehicle tire. Integrated into a transfer line, the tire geometry measuring machine is designed for automatic test operation.

 

Possible combinations

The measuring machines for tire uniformity can also be incorporated into an automatic tire classification system ATG-E/D for the quality testing of motorcycle and car tires.

The tire uniformity measuring machines type RGM can optionally be equipped with the Sheet-of-Light Laser System. In fully automatic operation they can be operated with the options soaping, infeed, marking and sorting.
