What is a tire inflator and what exactly does it do?
A tire inflation bell is a specialized system in which car tires are efficiently inflated to the required air pressure in the shortest possible time, regardless of the rim design.
The tire is transported under a fixed bell, which seals the tire airtight from one side. The other side is sealed via the transport belt. The bell seals the tire around the rim edge and ensures that the air can be pumped into the tire. Depending on requirements, different tire sealing rings can be used to adapt the inflation bell to different tire and rim sizes.
Hofmann's modern tire inflation systems can be controlled via data management systems such as: MES or ERP, so that they automatically select the right inflation program for each type of tire. Our inflation systems are equipped with sound insulation to reduce the noise generated during inflation.
Our tire inflation stations are an essential component of automatic wheel assembly lines and contribute significantly to the efficiency and quality of our customers' production.
