Fraunhofer IIS tests static dent detection on machine

A few days ago, our long-standing partner, the Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS, visited our production halls in Worms to conduct a test series on our tire grading line, type ATG-E/D.

Together with our software engineers, a test system was installed on the tire uniformity measuring machine, which is part of the ATG-E/D line and serves the quality assurance of the tires. The aim of the test series was to demonstrate static dent detection on the tire using a laser.

The system is currently still in the development stage, but it should be mentioned at this point that the tests have already been very successful and satisfactory. This is particularly due to the high level of professional competence and expertise of the colleagues at the Fraunhofer Institute as well as the long-standing cooperation between Hofmann Maschinen- und Anlagenbau GmbH and Fraunhofer IIS.
