Matching of tires and rims

The wheel matching machines offer you a fully automatic solution for matching tires and rims. The matching process can be carried out in two different variants.

Determination of the marks

By means of an image acquisition system integrated in the wheel alignment machines, the marking from the tire manufacturer for the radial force peak of the tire and the marking from the rim manufacturer of the geometric low point of the rim can be recognized. In addition, the required angle of rotation between the tyre and the rim can be determined.

Determination of the reference points

Alternatively, the geometric low point of the rim can be recorded on an upstream system and transferred to the wheel alignment machine with reference to the valve. The image acquisition system then determines the valve as reference.

Implementation of the correction

The tyre, already mounted on the rim, is pressed into the well of the rim on both sides by the segments, preset to the inch size. The rim can be turned by the previously determined angle. Matching of the reference points is checked again after making the necessary correction.
